NOBCChE and the American Chemical Society to Sign MOU in Philadelphia

Dear NOBCChE:

NOBCChE  and the American Chemical Society (ACS) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) this Monday, August 22nd at the 252nd Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Philadelphia. The signing ceremony will take place during the meeting of the Committee on Minority Affairs from 11 am to 1 pm. This MOU formalizes the partnership that NOBCChE and ACS forged beginning in 2005 with a number of key initiatives started under ACS President Thomas Lane, and Executive Directors Madeleine Jacob, and current ACS CEO Thomas Connelly in equal partnership under NOBCChE Board Chair Bobby Wilson and NOBCChE Presidents Joe Francisco, Victor McCrary, Judson Haynes, and current president Talitha Hampton.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I invite all past NOBCChE Presidents, Board Members, Officers and NOBCChE members in the Philadelphia area to attend this signing ceremony.  It has been your contributions and consistent support of NOBCChE which continues to be the shining light as we together create this eminent cadre of people of color in science and technology to change the world!

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Dr. Malinda Gilmore,
Chair of the Board
