The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Ohio University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Forensic/Analytical Chemistry.  The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to Ohio University’s existing BS in Forensic Chemistry program, teaching such courses as Forensic Chemistry I: Arson/Explosives/DNA and Forensic Chemistry II: Procedures/Drugs/Trace Analysis as well as a graduate forensic science course.  The candidate must also be able to play a role in developing and sustaining a proposed MS in Forensic Chemistry.  The selected candidate will be expected to establish a nationally prominent and externally funded research program at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Candidates with research interests in the area of chemical education with a strong concentration in forensic chemistry are encouraged to apply.

A Ph.D. in chemistry is required at the time of appointment and significant postdoctoral research and teaching experience will be considered favorably.
