The Iowa State University College of Engineering (www.engineering.iastate.edu) invites external applications for one tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor rank, to fill the inaugural position as the Charles Schafer (Battelle) Endowed Chair in Engineering in the area of biorenewables energy science and technologies, or closely related areas. The position’s academic home will be in an engineering department.

Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree and a proven track record of scholarly activities and technology commercialization, with patents and potential patent disclosures, and shall bring a business or near-term commercialization activity with them to the University. The startup package and endowment will support the establishment of a successful research program. The candidate will be able to work in collaboration with the ISU Research Park (www.isupark.org) and Cultivation Corridor (www.cultivationcorridor.org) initiatives to undertake commercialization activities.
