Why Attend a NOBCChE Conference?

NOBCChE's Annual Conferences, are instances of our motto "Research, Knowledge, Wisdom". We live this motto by:

  • Inviting accomplished researchers in chemistry and other scientific fields, to present as part of our technical program.
  • Inviting many academic institutions and corporations, to participate in our career fair, and to interact with students and young professionals.
  • Creating a dedicated professional development program at the conference.

Learn more about how NOBCChE conferences exemplify our motto below:

Research
NOBCChE conferences bring together distinguished research scientists, promising young investigators, outstanding student members and young professionals; for a few days of an interactive, informative and enjoyable meeting experience. If your goal is to learn about new, exciting research, to recruit from a talented group of dedicated students, to gain information about career opportunities, or to share your novel research with the scientific community; the NOBCChE Technical Program will allow you to achieve these goals.

Knowledge
Timely access to useful information is valued by students and professionals alike. For the student, knowledge about research opportunities, fellowships, and internships; is important to gain an advantage over the other students, with which they must compete. For recruiters, first access to young minority scientists, can give their organizations an edge over less savvy corporations and institutions.

Wisdom
Knowledge is acquired information; wisdom is the acquired ability to use that information to fulfill a purpose. True wisdom is gained not only from learning about the successes of others, but also by examining their missteps and regrets. The NOBCChE Professional Development Program draws on the collective experience of our members, as well as on current information relevant to academic and corporate success, to prepare the student, graduate student, or the young professional to excel in their chosen fields. In addition, for secondary education Chemistry teachers, there is a Teacher's Workshop; of which the goal is to communicate helpful tips and techniques for teaching chemistry to K-12 students.
