Beloit College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in chemistry to begin August 2016. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or related field and be able to teach courses in general and organic chemistry. We especially seek candidates who have demonstrated success in working with diverse populations of students. This position is an excellent opportunity to teach in an ACS-certified department known for innovative pedagogy.

Candidates will be expected to develop a research program related to some aspect of health, broadly defined, that engages undergraduates. This position places strong emphasis on advising undergraduate students in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and our multidisciplinary Health and Society program. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for liberal arts education including expected participation in first-year seminars and interdisciplinary courses. The college emphasizes excellence in teaching, learning beyond the traditional classroom, international perspectives, and collaborative research among students and faculty.
